Well. I hope its obvious, but probobly not: its not about violence or the pain of love/sex/whatever, but more about how emotion tears off the masks you make for yourself.
I believe, Miss, that just happens to be the very first time I've ever recoiled from a virtual slap before. Your point is very well taken- However, I would like to maintain that I still don't care for my own work. Thank you, once more, for your comments.
Sorry, I can be a little overly harsh sometimes. Art is a very personal topic to me.
Yah yah, every artist is their own worst critic - I look at stuff and go "omg I have NO talent" and I look at other stuff and go "omg this is crap".
But really. You wouldn't put it up for others to see if you genuinely thought it had no value. I've just run into too many people who tell everyone to look at their work while talking about how awful it is - and that, I think, is a poor way to fish for compliments. Its always good to be self-critical, but if you have *no* faith in your own work, who else will?
Well, no apology was necessary, I simply found it amusing is all. I'm my own worst critic- to the point where most of my work never sees the light of the web, and what I do have up there, I didn't really have a choice in. (Most of the time, my friends threatened to take away my liquor if I didn't put those photos up). Hell, i just really use this place as a photodump of sorts. If I had come across as "woe unto me, compliments never come", then I -do- apologise, as it wasn't my intention. I -know- no one cares about my work (don't argue that), and that's what helps me create. If I start worrying about what people think, then I start criticising myself even harsher, and shit never gets uploaded. I just recently learned to take a compliment anyway, which is why i was willing to upload the prose that I did.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
